  So finally jws work our road

  it has been years since i have seen any jws in this road but this morning when i returned home after buying a birthday gift i spotted two women walking slowly doing the door to door work.. i lamented the fact that they did not call here, my son informed me they had visited the neighbours but had missed us out.

  hubby was in the kitchen and had missed them otherwise he would have gone outside and confronted them.

  just as i was feeling we had missed an opportunity my neighbour called me to let me know the witnesses were about.

  The only reason I would answer the door if the dubs knocked is if otherwise they would have an opportunity to talk to my kids. I don't want them guilting my kids.

  We had a David Wesley as CO about 5 years ago. He was OK - there were worse ones (I'm talking about YOU John Carroll). I don't remember anything in particular about Wesley.

  No. When I left, it was because I was just plain tired of the guilt tripping and BS from the elders. I just didn't want to live my life according to someone else's directions. But then I found this place, and I started reading. I discovered the truth about the truth, and now I could no more go back to the WTS than I could start believing in the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny.

  i know the truth/troof is not all it is cracked up to be but i have been a little bit of a rebel all my life and so rebelled.. .

  did you leave partly to get more booze, sex, drugs and sex?

  I'm not much of a drinker anymore, and I don't do drugs at all anymore. I do like sex though, and I find that I have more time and energy for that since I'm not wasting all that time at meetings anymore.

  First Aid @ the D.C.s -- could direction from Society cause them a lawsuit?

  i posted about something similar 3 years ago when i first joined.

  even though my attendance hasn't been great the last year or so, i was asked to help my bro in law in first aid this year at the convention.

  to make a long story short, the society has printed instructions for attendants to not cal 911 for an emergency.

  I understand the frustration of the ambulance service when they receive a dozen calls for the same emergency. Too many looky-loos and nosey parkers who ought to just stay out of the way. However, telling people not to call, even in a true emergency, is dangerous and irresponsible.

  My Partner and I have been together for 10 years today!

  i am very proud that we have been together for 10 years!

  being raised a jw, it was always hard for me to find a long term relationship.

  most people that i met weren't interested in anything long term, and each time one ended, it left me feeling like i would never find someone who shared the same feelings.

  You can use tampons for a nosebleed. Maxipads are good for men to wear after hemerrhoid surgery. Be sure to share that with Anita.
